New Classes - New Schedule!

All Classes are on Tuesday nights - 6:30  to 9 pm

And are held at the WinCAM Studio at 80 Skillings Road (Rear) - just behind Winchester High School

July 22 - Basic Edit - IMovie – Learn IMovie and the basics of digital non-linear editing. Basic Class

July 29 - Studio Lighting – How to plan, design and light in our studio; including using our new lighting board. Intermediate Class

August 5 – Studio Audio – Learn how to do studio in the studio – including our new telephone interface for live call-in shows

August 12 & 19 - Intermediate Edit, Final Cut Pro – Non-linear editing with Final Cut Pro; including graphics, effects and sound. Intermediate Class

August 26 - Location Lighting – How to work safely with the lighting kits and use them on location shoots. Intermediate Class

September 2 & 9 - Camcorder – The basics of working with a digital camcorder.  Basic Class

September 16, 23 & 30 – Studio Production – Learn the basics of the studio; operating a camera, floor direction, switching and audio. We will shoot a program during the last class. Basic Class

October 7 & 14 - Apple Soundtrack – Session One deals with cleaning and repairing location audio, Session Two teaches you how to create your own music using Soundtrack's loop-based composition program. Intermediate Class

October 21, 28 & November 4 - Scripting – How to write a script for television production; both fiction and non-fiction. All Levels Class

November 11 - Zen & The Craft of Shooting – How to shoot video without thinking; and still get good video. All Levels Class

November 18 - Visual Styles – How to look at the video frame; how to balance composition with content. All Levels Class

November 25 – Digital Formats – The basics of transcoding and compressing video and audio from one format to another, including H264, MPEG 2 & 4, WMV & Quicktime.

December 2 - Directing – How to direct a studio shoot; including commands, theory and troubleshooting. Advanced Class

December 9 - Basic Edit - IMovie – Learn IMovie and the basics of digital non-linear editing. Basic Class

December 16 – Lighting & Shooting Practicum – The class will shoot a 30 second promo using a storyboard and local actors. We will work through the process of lighting and shooting each setup. Intermediate class
