Director Pittas called the meeting to order at 7:15 pm. The minutes of the May 26, 2008 directors' meeting were reviewed. It was noted that subsequent to the board meeting, WinCAMP was renamed "WinCAM Summer
Program" to reflect the fact that it is not a summer camp. After the May meeting, we also determined that Jennifer Wille could work more than 25 hours/week without affecting her part-time status.
Motion Director Eyden: to approve the minutes of the May 26, 2008 directors' meeting..Second by Director Daniel. I. Treasurer's Report - With regard to our funds at UBS, the Treasurer read an email from his contact at UBS – our account consists of mutual funds, and our assets are liquid.Income for the year from Comcast was $3700.00 less than budgeted; however, income from Verizon was $11,000.00 greater than budgeted. The Treasurer will be able to report how we closed out the year by mid-August. Motion Director Daniel to approve the Treasurer's Report.. Second by Director Wing. UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED II. Personnel - The Personnel Committee updated the board on the job search for a new station manager. We posted the opening on MassAccess as well as Mandy.com and Craig's List. We have interviewed four candidates for the position. A full report will be given during Executive Session III. Station Manager' Report We were very active on Town Day, with a multi-camera shoot at the Mill Pond Stage. Sydelle Pittas and Marie Geibel conducted interviews with both businesses and non-profits in
town. We also covered the Auto Show at the Sanborn House and took cameras around to the booths and other activities. We have a 2 hour "Best of Town Day" ready to air next week. Director Pittas asked whether the
Town Day Committee could include information about interviews by WinCAM at Town Day in the packet going to exhibitors. At the WinCAM booth, we gave out close to 500 hundred fans and beach balls with the new WinCAM
artwork. I-loop update. Steve Gay met with technicians from Comcast at McCall to check the sound. The sound levels were way off (@ -50 db, not -8 db). This was reset. The Comcast
technicians also acknowledged WinCAM has the ability to piggyback off the Town's data network. The techs felt Comcast would pay for the necessary mods and demods. Steve Gay had a follow up conversation with Jane
Lyman. Paying to move WinCAM onto the town's network should save money for Comcast in the long run. Outreach: The report focuses on outreach at Town Day – both contacts with businesses and non-profits to be
interviewed and materials provided for handouts at the booth. Programming: New episodes of "Surviving Every Day" and a new show "Wake Up Your Magic". We covered WHS graduation live and provided feed for overflow in
the auditorium. The program schedule is submitted to the Star every week. They do not always publish. Should we run ads in the Star or should WinCAM have its own subscriptions to the Star and Daily Times Chronicle. Audio quality in gym at McCall 8th
grade graduation. Don Cronin, Steve Gay and Troy Fenton had made adjustments before the ceremony. Even with adjustments the sound was very tinny. It would be helpful for Steve and Jennifer to meet with Mark Smith from VDA, as he is very knowledgeable of the McCall sound system. It was noted further that it would be very helpful if WinCAM had a contact person at each school – someone who is already familiar with the sound system within their building.
IV. Other Business The "CA$H program proposed by Director Pittas needs to be moved out of WinCAM Week, as this is "Sweeps Week". A date will be set for an organizational meeting. The next Producers' Meeting is July 16.
